Councilwoman Rebecca Maurer is a lawyer, community activist, and lifelong advocate for fairness and accountability. She got her start in politics fighting for a law to protect Cleveland’s children from lead poisoning, and she’s been working ever since to make sure families across the city have the safety, stability, and opportunity they deserve.

First elected to the Cleveland City Council in 2021, Rebecca ran on a platform of transparency and accountability in local government. Today, she’s running for a second term to represent the new Ward 5, proudly serving the communities of Central, Downtown, Slavic Village, Midtown, and Kinsman.
